PGO vs MSVC vs Standard
Decode the build names before you choose. PGO describes an optimisation method; MSVC names a compiler, so a package can be both.
MSVC
Built with Microsoft's compiler toolchain. Check this release's notes for any package-specific dependencies.
Standard
A package without a PGO label. Read its own build notes to see which features and dependencies apply.

The -pgo builds use profile-guided optimization (clang plus Eden's profile); prefer them when the CPU supports it.
The Windows PGO build is a MinGW build and includes its own DLLs, so it does not need the Visual C++ redistributable.
The Linux AppImage bundles its libraries and requires glibc 2.39 or newer.
The macOS app bundles Qt and MoltenVK, is ad-hoc signed and not notarized, and uses the JIT rather than NCE. macOS support is experimental.

How to Install After Downloading
Extract, then launch
Extract the selected archive into a stable folder, keep its companion files beside it, and launch lichii.exe from that folder.
Run the published package
For an AppImage, make the downloaded file executable before launching it. For a tar.gz build, extract it with its companion files and check the release notes for any required system libraries.
Linux setupMove the app bundle
Open the published macOS package, move the .app into Applications, then verify the official release source before the first launch.
Local only

How do I share my exact build selection?
Choose your filters, apply them, and copy the address bar. The link includes the build, OS, architecture, and build type.
What if the file I downloaded has a different name?
Check the file against the asset on its GitHub release page before opening it. A familiar-looking name alone is not enough to identify a package.
Does this site host the downloads?
No. Download buttons link directly to official GitHub release assets.
Should I update over a build that already works?
Keep a copy of the working application and back up your saves and configuration before trying a new release. See the setup guide for installation steps.
The download was interrupted. Can the verifier repair it?
No. Download the file again from its official link, then check the completed file. The verifier compares files; it does not repair them.
