Ocarina of Time
On macOS/MoltenVK with an Apple M1, the Switch 2 NSO version boots and plays audio but presents a black image from startup, with approximately 1 FPS and occasional red/green block artifacts.

| build95 | runs with issues | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti / AMD 5800x3D | Not provided | Open report |
Problems or notes: User reports vegetation and tree leaves vanish up close and shadows change. A separate user report says flowers no longer disappear in builds 94/95, but tree leaves still do.

| build-75 | runs with issues | Rtx 4070 Mobile 8g / i9 13900hx | 14 FPS | Open report |
Problems or notes: A user reports that switching from handheld to docked mode resolved the black screen on their setup, but gameplay had missing textures, blown-out white visuals, and very low performance; they said it was not really playable.

| build-75 | not booting | RTX 5080 / Not provided | 60 FPS | Open report |
Problems or notes: The issue body reports audio with no visuals. Comments report black screens after the title screen or during gameplay, and some users report low FPS, missing textures, blown-out white visuals, and graphics artifacts. A user reports that shared MSVC-build settings resolved the black screen, while another reports that switching from handheld to docked mode resolved it for their setup.
Problems or notes: A user reports the title screen displays at 60 FPS, but selecting New Game leads to a black screen during the intro cutscene. Their log reports that FFmpeg has no AV1 decoder. They state that changing settings did not help.
Current: build-75 (2 records); previous: build-70 (0 records).

| build-93 | runs with issues | AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB / Intel Core i5-8500 | 4 FPS | Open report |
Problems or notes: The game boots and compiles shaders, but remains at 4 FPS in-game. The reporter says reducing resolution to 1x and changing memory layout to 4GB did not resolve the low FPS; a VRAM management issue on Polaris GPUs is suspected.
Current: build-93 (1 record); previous: build-88 (0 records).

Known issues from Lichii sources
On macOS/MoltenVK with an Apple M1, the Switch 2 NSO version boots and plays audio but presents a black image from startup, with approximately 1 FPS and occasional red/green block artifacts.
On AMD GPUs, Ocarina of Time's compute shaders can fail compilation with VK_ERROR_OUT_OF_HOST_MEMORY or cause the AMD driver to crash. The issue report describes missing intro video and an eventual process crash; a later user reports an access violation inside amdvlk64.dll.
OpenGL is reported not to work for this game because GLSL task and mesh programs are not implemented, resulting in repeated errors and an emulator hang.
Rejecting shader hashes before translation skips their dispatches and can result in missing output or a black screen; a user reports the environment switch did not affect the tested Vulkan compute-pipeline path.
Recorded fix: For testing shader rejection, keep the disk shader cache off or delete it before each run; the maintainer says cached shaders are loaded without checking the rejection list.
Performance slows in crowded or busy areas, with front/back GPU-thread synchronization drains and waits; short freezes while attacking are also reported.
Shader compilation can cause freezes of about 3 seconds with each step, according to a user report.
On integrated AMD graphics, device-memory thresholds can keep the texture cache collector in aggressive mode even though deleting all images cannot reduce total usage below the threshold. This causes extensive image churn and GPU waits during gameplay.
On Build 95 Non-PGO in Linux AMD RADV, the game remains black-screened while intro audio plays, even after shader compilation. The symptom persisted across the reported Wayland/XWayland and environment-variable tests, and after removing Vulkan Pipeline Cache and Cache Storage.
Build 117 renders again, but the user reports substantial FPS and frametime variability, including drops to 19 FPS.
Severe performance, around 8 FPS (approximately 123 ms frame time), on macOS with Apple M5 using Vulkan / MoltenVK at 1x resolution; the report also says MoltenVK fallback warnings occur. A commenter reports the same issue on Mac M4.
