Runs with issues bezeichnet Probleme beim Spielen. Playable heißt, dass der Tester weiterspielen konnte.

Problems or notes: On nx2-build-117, the user reports that EDEN_NX2_NO_MESH=1 avoided device loss for a session of about 176 seconds. The variable skipped 27 draws; the user noticed no obvious visual issues but could not rule out missing visuals.

Problems or notes: Disabling mesh draws with EDEN_NX2_NO_MESH=1 did not prevent the device-loss crash on this configuration; it occurred after the intro cutscene.

Recorded FPSNot provided

Problems or notes: Commenters report crashes when attempting the EDEN_NX2_NO_MESH=1 workaround; one says the screen goes black after the intro and the emulator closes. Game version 1.1.1 is stated by another commenter with a separate instant-crash report.

Statusruns with issues
GPURX 5700
CPUNot provided
DriverAMD 2.0.353
Recorded FPS14–24 FPS

Problems or notes: Short session in Kokiri Forest and the Deku Tree rendered correctly, with no crash, fence timeout, device loss, or compute rejections. Reported 14 FPS in Kokiri Forest and 22–24 FPS indoors; the commenter says outdoor performance was identical to build 93.

Problems or notes: Commenter reports about 70 minutes of play through the Deku Tree and Gohma with zero blackouts and no Native compute shader rejected (per-tap gather) error, using game version 2.0.0 loaded from a .nup. The same user says blackouts and the log error occurred with extracted base-game version 1.0.0.

Problems or notes: The game boots and the intro AV1 video begins decoding, but the screen remains black and FPS stays at 0 while compute pipelines are built. The report says this persists for over five minutes. Multiple settings and cache-clearing attempts made no difference.

Recorded FPS12–14 FPS

Problems or notes: Title screen and intro video render, but the GPU may lose the Metal device during video playback or the GPU thread may hang at the video-to-gameplay transition. The initial report states gameplay is not reached; a later user update says the intro plays end to end after applying proposed changes but transition stalls remain. A separate report gives 25-30 FPS after applying proposed fixes. Reports are user observations.

Recorded FPSNot provided

Problems or notes: User reports Metal device loss at the video-to-gameplay transition. Applying a framebuffer extent clamp avoided device loss for 10 minutes and allowed the game past the title screen on a test build, but after this fix the 3D scene remained black in the reported older fork.

Problems or notes: User reports VK_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST after a Metal GPU page fault, including during title-screen rendering or when intro-video compute programs run. Rejecting programs containing native opcode 0x4a4 avoided the page fault in the user's patched builds, but this is a user workaround and not a confirmed general fix.

CPUNot provided
DriverMoltenVK
Recorded FPS12–14 FPS

Problems or notes: User reports that framebuffer clamping plus a 64 KiB stream-buffer tail, or rejecting native opcode 0x4a4 programs, prevents intro-video page faults in tests. With the clamp and tail, intro playback reached 25-30 FPS and completed, but the video-to-gameplay transition still stalled; a second decoder session was also followed by VK_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST on builds running the native chain.

Known Game Issues

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

A user reports frequent shader-building notifications and stutter, including when revisiting areas, on nx2-build-117. Their single capture showed substantial runtime pipeline creation but no eviction entries; persistence after a second launch is undetermined.

Ocarina of Time

On Linux RADV systems, user reports describe GPU resets or device loss during mesh draws, sometimes with an illegal opcode in the command stream. EDEN_NX2_NO_MESH=1 avoided resets in several tests but caused missing terrain, plants, or other geometry.

Recorded fix: Users reported that EDEN_NX2_NO_MESH=1 avoided resets, with missing geometry. Tests of PR #569 reported that EDEN_NX2_FORCE_MESH_FALLBACK=1 avoided resets on Navi 23 and Navi 31 and restored geometry; these are user reports, not maintainer-confirmed fixes.

Mario Kart World

A user report says stock build 88 reset the GPU about 25 seconds after launch on Linux RADV.

Ocarina of Time Remake

With EDEN_NX2_PRELOAD_ALL_PIPELINES=1, pipelines not used for 9000 frames are evicted, leading to runtime rebuilds and stutter when entering a new area.

Ocarina of Time

With EDEN_NX2_PRELOAD_ALL_PIPELINES=1, pipelines are evicted after 9000 frames, causing runtime builds, long held draws, and a reported freeze.

Ocarina of Time

Grass and pebbles disappear or flicker during sword attacks; disabling persistent pipeline cache was reported to make grass disappear permanently, while enabling it left flickering.

Recorded fix: A commenter reports the issue was fixed in build-116.

OOT REMAKE

User reports significantly worse performance and that parts of the game are broken in build 117 compared with build 93 on NVIDIA RTX 30 series or older.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Walls, environmental geometry, and some interactive objects are invisible; occasional stuttering is also reported.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

A commenter reports invisible push blocks.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

A commenter reports that objects and doors do not appear.
