Statusruns with issues
GPURX 7900XT
CPURyzen 7 5700X3D
DriverAll drivers with their latest updates
Recorded FPS25–55 FPS

Problems or notes: User comment reports stable 25–30 FPS generally and spikes around 55 FPS indoors in close environments; no errors, crashes, or timeouts reported.

build-93 report

Statusruns with issues
GPURX 9070 XT
CPURyzen 7 9800X3D
DriverAMD Software 26.10.1
Recorded FPS14–37 FPS

Problems or notes: User reports title-screen boot and gameplay through the intro into Kokiri Forest without crashes or driver timeouts. Reports slow motion because gameplay speed follows frame rate; heavy bloom and overexposure in bright areas, and the Great Deku Tree renders as a dark silhouette in its intro scene. FPS: approximately 18 by default, 17 with async shaders on and GPU accuracy Normal, 14 with async shaders on and GPU accuracy High, approximately 29 with logging filtered to errors, high process priority, and Xbox Game Bar capture off; intro cutscenes run 32–37 FPS.

build-83 report

Statusruns with issues
GPURTX 5090
CPURyzen 7 9800X3D
Driver617.42
Recorded FPS34.04–46.28 FPS

Problems or notes: User report: Native gameplay remained below 60 FPS after shader warmup. Measurements varied by scene and settings; walking, camera movement, ladder climbing, NPC dialogue, autosave, and loading an outdoor save worked in a limited test. Audio was not assessed.

build-75 report

Statusruns with issues
GPUAMD RX 7000 series
CPUAMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics
DriverNot provided
Recorded FPSNot provided

Problems or notes: User reports audio and video desynchronization on the title screen and intro. A commenter reports title-screen video in heavy slow motion, audio leading by approximately 3 seconds and the gap increasing by the initial dream cutscene; changing Frame Pacing (30/60/Auto) or reducing Anisotropic Filtering to 2x did not resolve it.

Not provided report

Statusruns with issues
GPURadeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB
CPURyzen 7 7700X
DriverAMD proprietary 2.0.416
Recorded FPSNot provided

Problems or notes: With Low GPU accuracy and EDEN_NX2_SPLIT=2, textures and surfaces flicker and some surfaces remain white; reported frame time was 29–44 ms per frame, up to about 20 ms in lighter areas. High accuracy removes the flicker but disables the split and results in 9–14 fps. Accurate GPU fence behavior hangs after about 45 seconds; enabling buffer downloads does not resolve the flicker. Outdoor haze and a dark river surface are also reported.

chuppatricky-amd-testbuild-v13 report

Statusnot booting
GPUAMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (12 GB)
CPUAMD Ryzen 9 5900X
DriverAMD Software (Adrenalin) 26.10.2; faulting amdvlk64.dll version 32.0.21045.20006
Recorded FPSNot provided

Problems or notes: User reports the emulator closes without an error message after about 9–10 minutes of shader rebuilding on first launch. Windows reports exception code 0xc0000005 in amdvlk64.dll. The user says the same fault offset occurred across several launches.

Lichii-AMD 2026.11.07 (nauxph fork, f4e938f516) report

Statusruns with issues
GPURX 9070 XT
CPURyzen 7 9800X3D
DriverAMD Software 26.10.1
Recorded FPS50–80 FPS

Problems or notes: User reports about 50–80 FPS in Kokiri Forest on GPU Mode Fast, but repeated rolling and jumping triggers blackouts in which the world goes black while the HUD remains visible and the game continues running. Switching GPU Mode from Fast to Accurate at runtime restores the picture without restarting; Accurate reportedly avoids blackouts but causes heavy stutter. A follow-up reports blackouts cycling in Fast mode and no errors logged during the blackouts.

local MSVC build of current `nx2` + #292, #243, #325, #353 report

Statusruns with issues
GPURX 7800 XT (RDNA3)
CPURyzen 7 7700
DriverAMD driver 32.0.32015.7029
Recorded FPSNot provided

Problems or notes: In the Bombchu Bowling Alley in Castle Town Market, stones intermittently flash bright pink, red, yellow, cyan, or black; small stones on the way to Hyrule Castle also reportedly glow red. The user’s RenderDoc investigation found the final compose dispatch overwrote correctly drawn stones with garbage when its weight inputs were zero.

build 97 report

Statusruns with issues
GPUAMD RX 9000 series
CPUNot provided
Driverproprietary driver 2.0.416, Vulkan
Recorded FPS20 FPS

Problems or notes: The user reports bright light/haze-like artifacts, FPS around 20 with large variance, and desynced, stuttering audio during gameplay. Reproduction steps specify Lichii build 93 (MSVC Windows package), while the report lists build 97 as the emulator build.

Known Game Issues

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake

Crashes at the same moment as it flies under the user's feet; the log reports an application error in amdvlk64.dll.

Ocarina of Time

User reports freezing while loading a game and a subsequent emulator crash on macOS; in Build 93, pressing A on a controller reportedly does nothing when attempting to return to the title screen.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time

In the measurement-only experiment, disabling per-fence Preflushable downloads or batching downloads by 64 fences caused overexposure in Kokiri Forest.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time

A commenter reports that an experimental compute storage write-extent analysis reduced marked GPU-written data and fence copies while preserving correct auto-exposure. It was described as code on a user's branch, not as an upstream or validated release fix.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Static review and a separate research comment describe read-trap bookkeeping and dirty-state issues that can leave stale GPU-written data when per-fence downloads are disabled; proposed corrections and batching remain untested or local experiments.

Donkey Kong Bananza

User reports the game is locked at 20 FPS, including menus and title screen, on Windows 11.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book (demo)

The game reaches responsive gameplay with a correctly rendered HUD, but the 3D scene is black. Graphics programs are rejected and draws are skipped.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time

On AMD's proprietary Windows driver, two compute pipelines can take 6 to 18 minutes to compile during the intro, leaving the game at 0 FPS while audio continues. Rejecting the shader hashes avoids the wait but causes black areas in the intro, title, and castle scenes.

Recorded fix: Leave the game at the intro for about 20 minutes once so both pipelines finish and are cached; later boots reportedly pass the intro immediately until the driver or Lichii is updated. Alternatively, set `EDEN_NX2_REJECT_HASH=eff3ccbe1438679d,f9ea14a22394f5b1`; this avoids the wait but leaves parts of the picture black.

Ocarina of Time

User reports an unhandled Vulkan::vk::Exception and emulator crash shortly after the first cutscene when texture allocation fails with VK_ERROR_OUT_OF_DEVICE_MEMORY on an AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT 8 GB.

Other / not listed

Game freezes when the user tries the Ocarina at the Temple of Time.
